Well, it's been a very busy first two weeks of Summer vacation. Harrison and Hannah both had fun at camp last week. It made for a lot of driving around in the car for me, though.
Friday night was part one of the Boy Scout Fundraiser. I picked up all the food from Cafe Pig at about 1:30 on Friday (after picking Hannah up from gymnastics camp). There was so much food. We got to the church and set up an assembly line to get all of the plates put together. Then, the boys went over to the fire station at Greentop Rd. with the completed plates and sold their little hearts out. We were at the church making sandwiches, cleaning up, etc... until about 8:00 that night. It made for a really long day.
Saturday was part two of the whole Fundraiser. We set up in the parking lot at Wal-Mart in Newnan and sold a la carte items (BBQ pork sandwiches, chips, stew, drinks, and plates). We sold quite a bit, but there is still quite a bit left over. If anyone is interested in getting some bulk pork, beans, or stew, let us know :c).This week Hannah has her regualr schedule of gymnastics practices and Harrison has Scout camp.
Harrison left this morning at around 5:00 am with Gabe and Sam Pulsipher (thanks Jen for drving...we owe you). We're really proud of him. He has worked non-stop doing things for either Band or Scouts for the last two months. He's proven that he can really accomplish things, if he puts his mind to it. He'll start Marching Band practice three times a week after the 4th of July. It's a lot of work, but he already loves it. He's had a lot of fun getting to know all of the kids and learning the music and the show. He's really excited about going to Band Camp.
Anyway, that's what we've been up to. We're going to be taking it easy at the pool and the movies (free movies on Wednesdays at the Georgian Theatre) for the rest of the Summer.
